04/07/2011 - Interview with Phil Norris, Head of Partnerships

How would you summarise your role?
I hope I’m the conduit to assist the partner in delivery of a high-value proposition that fits the customer needs but also delivers value to the both Home3 and the partner group. That is my desire and the intention as a team.

What experience and knowledge do you bring to the team?

My experiences are all in the financial services with many years in the partnerships and affinity area. I started my time and cut my teeth in operations and headed up several large teams over the years. My earliest exposure was in the launch of the ‘Goldfish’ credit card back in the late 80’s and have since worked with many major corporate organisations ranging from ‘rescue and recovery’ businesses, through to major UK retailers.

What personal qualities do you have that will benefit Home 3?
Personally, I believe I’m a highly skilled and balanced person with broad management experience across multiple disciplines of business, as I’ve already said I’ve worked for corporates’ and also small start-up businesses which has given me a wealth of experience across many areas.

What are your goals for Home 3?
My goal for Home 3 is to get us firmly established in the Home Emergency market. We have great products that are widely accepted and have good core disciplines in our business. We have a number of good USP’s and we need to exploit these in the market. I plan to be part of that process going forward.

What excites you about Home 3 and how can you make a difference?
Home 3 is a well kept secret at the moment and I want to make sure that the situation changes and people get to hear about us. The 3 way call is fantastic for our partners and our partner’s customers. For the first time a customer can call a call centre safe in the knowledge that they won’t get passed around and that they will speak to someone who can help them resolve their problem.  We’re a Home Emergency business and we need to be there when we’re needed most.
