05/04/2011 - CPP is bucking the trend in Ireland, recording steady growth in tough times
It’s been a challenging year for the Irish economy and its financial services sector. However, CPP's Irish business continues to make progress and will again deliver year-on-year growth in 2010.
A key move forward this year came when CPP won the Card Protection tender business for Allied Irish bank (AIB) for the next five years, for which contracts are currently being negotiated. This win now means they have significant penetration in the market for both credit and debit cards.
CPP's phonesafe business in Ireland has made good progress with 100% policy base growth this year, thanks to a relaunched scheme with Meteor and the recent launch of eMobile. We are also negotiating a further contract with Synchro Solutions who plan to have 50 stores by the end of 2011.
Across all products, by the end of the year, CPP will have a customer base of more than 200,000 for the first time in our history.
